Where folk music turns electronic

Georgios Tzortzoglou and Gábor Lepés first met in 1999. In 2002 Jorgos called Lepe from Greece with the "million-dollar" idea: fuse Hungarian and Balkan folk music with a modern electronic sound.

Since then: ten albums, the Fonogram and Bezerédj awards, support slots for Public Enemy and The Prodigy, and concerts from Los Angeles to Beijing. The band still brings Carpathian-Basin folk to the stage, in a form made for today.
